¤ Which is a better treasure: jewels/money/toys/electronics or wisdom? (See Proverbs 8:11)
¤ Optional: Read about Solomon 1 Kings 3:1-10 & 4:29-32
Day 3: Getting Wisdom
¤ Review Memory Verse & Definition
¤ How do you get wisdom? (See James 1:5 & Proverbs 8:33) Using hand motions use this saying to remember: “Ask with your Mouth, Hear with your Ears, and Believe in your Heart.”
¤ Why should you “listen to advice and accept instruction”? (See Proverbs 19:20, NIV)
Day 4: Source of Wisdom
¤ Review Memory Verse & Definition
¤ Where does wisdom come from? (See Proverbs 2:6)
¤ Read Proverbs 3:7. What does it mean to “be wise in your own eyes”? (Not teachable, not willing to listen, prideful)
¤ Why shouldn’t you “be wise in your own eyes”? (Open discussion)
Day 5: Wise vs. Fools
¤ Review Memory Verse & Definition
¤ What is the difference between the wise and the foolish? (See Proverbs 10:14, storing knowledge vs. destructive mouths)
¤ What are two benefits of wisdom? (See Proverbs 8:35, life and favor)
¤ What are two consequences of foolishness? (See Proverbs 8:36, hurt themselves and love death)
